What is Pichu?
Pichu is a localized Ayurvedic treatment that involves the application of a thick cotton pad or a folded piece of cloth, thoroughly soaked in warm medicated oils or herbal decoctions, onto a specific affected area of the body. The term “Pichu” itself refers to this medicated pad. This therapy allows the therapeutic properties of the oils to deeply penetrate the tissues, offering sustained warmth and medicinal benefits. Depending on the area being treated, it can be known by specific names, such as “Shiro Pichu” for the head, “Kati Pichu” for the lower back, or “Greeva Pichu” for the neck.
